"B-route" is a terminology for bi-directional connection between smart meter and systems within the house includeing Home Energy Management System (HEMS) and appliances, whereas interconnection between smart meter and utility operator is called "A-route". COMMA House is ready to establish experimental setup to use the "B-route".

HEMS Dojo is a business association for creation and demonstration of HEMS applications. "Dojo" is a Japanese word for a training facility for martial arts, such as Judo and Karate. HEMS Dojo aims to provide a gathering place for prople and companies that have ambition to establish new services and technologies in energy and comfort management area as conventional dojo has been played similar role for martial art athletes. HEMS Dojo provides exprimental arrangements to utilize "B-route" communication without having joint research contract usually required to use facilities managed by University of Tokyo.
