Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo,
aims to establish and demonstrate concepts
and technologies for smart houses that will become popular
by 2020 through experimental programs
at the COMMA (COMfort MAnagement) House
with emphasis on the following aspects.

1．Pursuing comfort and design features of the house as a whole by involving researh staffs from appliance, facility and architecture areas,

2．Multi-vendor open systems to integrate equipment from verious industries and multiple manufacturers,

3．Maximum use of historical data covering suggestion to residents'
daily activities.
